The website Ms Humpleby asked us to make
I started with a 'Start-from-scratch' template that the website editor provides. I then decided on a look and the first type of layer I liked was the columns you see on it today. they allow for content to be shown, but also manipulated to feel more discoverable as you scrolled down the webpage. It also allows for a perception of depth as the background (which can also be altered to display graphic content) moves as the visitor scrolls.
I helped a friend with her photography work and asked if I could use the images on my website, which she was happy for me to do. It went perfectly with the black and white cosmic feel to the website.
To improve, I would have made it friendlier to navigate, instead of adding pages for the sake of using more images to show the visitor. I would also have liked to have a different attitude to my website instead of the cryptic and sarcastic mess it is today. however, I do like the graphics and structure of the home page.
